The Chief Signal Officer – Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc made his maiden official visit to 4th Regiment of Sri Lanka Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Anuradhapura on 13 August 2022.

The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the CO - 4 SLSC and he was accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Subsequently, he planted a mango sapling at the camp premises in order to mark his visit.

Afterwards, CO - 4 SLSC briefly described the functioning of the unit, the Communication status in the AOR, and a comprehensive description regarding ongoing projects and future plans for the benefit of soldiers. Then Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc addressed the troops and during his speech he stressed the value of upholding discipline, training pertaining to the field of information and communication technology, and military training. Further, he emphasized the importance of improving the infrastructure and welfare facilities of all ranks. After the address he joined for a tea with all ranks. After that he visited the camp premises to see the living standard of the soldiers.

The Colonel Commandant joined for a lunch with the Signal Officers in SFHQ(W) area and finally penned compliments on the visitors’ book.
