Brigadier Palitha Perera USP of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps assumed duties at his new office as the Signal Regimental Centre Commandant during a brief ceremony held on Thursday, 19th July 2018.
On the arrival at the Signal Regimental Centre, Panagoda, Brigadier Palitha Perera was awarded a ceremonial Guard Turnout and then conducted into his new office by the Deputy Regimental Centre Commandant Lieutenant Colonel Chandana Arangalla. Then in the midst of religious blessings, he signed a formal document to signify the acceptance of duties that was followed by addressing troops at the Signal Regimental Centre. Finally, he attended staff-tea held at the Signals main auditorium, which culminated the day's formalities.
Brigadier Palitha Perera was the Commander 143 Infantry Brigade before he assumed duties in the new office.
