A mess night was organized to bid farewell to Major General HMHA Herath psc on 12 January 2014 at Corps of Signals officer mess Panagoda. Maj Gen HMHA Herath psc who rendered a long service to the Corps and the Army retired on completion of his tenure at age 55 on 14 January 2014. This senior officer, who possesses an excellent service, joined the Sri Lanka Army Regular force on 28 Apr 1980 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 15 Dec 1980.He held many senior appointments in the Army during his 34 years of long service. During the sequence of events, a guard turn out and a guard of honor was presented. The dinner night at the officer\'s mess RHQ SLSC Maj Gen HMHA Herath psc and Mrs Kanchana Herath to attended. Many senior officer\'s along with their spouses including the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signal Major General EP De Z Abeysekera USP, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Signal Mrs Sandamali Abeysekera joined the occasion.
