1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps successfully completed the 1st Battalion Training Course on 27th December 2017 held at the Battalion Training School of 68 Division in Putthukudiruppu, MULLAITHIVU.
The intent of this Battalion Training is to sustain the proficiency and efficiency of Signal Regiments. Accordingly this course was conducted during the period of one month from 27th November to 27th December 2017 under the supervision of the School of Signals.
Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps and Chief Signal Officer Sri Lanka Army Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc graced the closing ceremony and addressed all trainees while highlighting the significance of Battalion Training as Signalers even during the peace time. Commandant School of Signals Colonel I H M R K Herath USP psc, Commanding Officer, 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lt Col S J K D Jayawardena USP psc, 12 Officers and 229 Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
