The 1 Signal Brigade Headquarters proudly marked its 37th Anniversary on 1st June 2025 with a Ceremony held in true military tradition. The event was graced by the Bde Comd, Brig YSP Sumanasinghe RSP, along with senior officers and troops.
A guard of honour was presented to the Bde Comd, Setting the tone for the day’s events. The Programme began at 0830 hrs with a formal group photograph, followed by an address to the troops. A cordial gathering of all officers and other ranks was held later at the 5 SLSC Mercury Club and Holiday Inn, strengthening camaraderie and esprit de corps.
In the lead-up to the Anniversary, a Shramadana campaign was conducted on 29th and 30th May, focusing on cleaning the surroundings of Kosgama Hospital and the Sarvodaya Children’s Home. On 31st May, snack packets were donated to the children of the home, with the participation of all officers and other ranks, including the Bde Comd.
