572 BRIGADE TROOPS BUILD NEW HOME FOR POOR FAMILY IN KILINOCHCHI ON 10 JANUARY 2019

Following sponsorship, Incumbent at Siddhartha Foundation by the expatriate, troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on the directions of Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi were able to put up new house for poor family, living in the general areas of Vishwamadu in Kilinochchi.

With the support of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops of the Security Force Headquarter - Kilinochchi under the supervision of the 572 Brigade of the 57 Division offered their for construction of house worth of Rs. 485,000.00.

65 DIVISION TROOPS BUILD NEW HOUSE FOR A CIVILIAN OF IN IRANAMATHANAGAR KILINOCHCHI ON 22 JANUARY 2019

Troops of 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment completed the constructions of a new house to a low income family in KN 71 Iranamathanagar GN Div.

The house was ceremonially handed over to house owner, Mr Kagayam Jegadas at with the participation of General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Commander 651 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment.

Troops of 5 Battalion of Mechanize Infantry Regiment belongs to 661 Brigade conducted a Shramadana campaign to construct the roof of Pallai Church. 01x20 Military troops participated for said Shramadana campaign.

66 INFANTRY DIVISION AGAIN DONATED A HOUSE TO A NEEDY FAMILY ON 16 FEBRUARY 2019

One more shelter for a low income family has received from the 2nd Battalion - Sri Lanka National Guard with the financial assistance of “Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation” of Ven. Thalagala Sri Sumanarathana Nayake Thero. The handing over of the key of the house formally took place following a simple ceremony. Beneficiary of the house was Mrs. Sadhiskaran Saraswathi.

CONCLUSION

  • Infrastructure is a fact that needs to be established before any civilization could establish them in a society. Similarly, after the war, the suffering of the local victims of the war would need to establish them with the proper infrastructure projects which have been under taken by the 6 Field Engineer Regiment will pay its dividends in time to come. The closer SLA approach the civilians who were battered by the war would promote deeper mutual understanding of each other’s values and social needs. That will in turn promote sustainable peace particularly in the area .
