A sudden fire outbreak was reported at Galwalakanda, a team comprising one Officer and twenty troops of the 8 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was promptly deployed to the affected location to assist in firefighting operations.
The troops responded with commendable efficiency and operated in close coordination with the relevant civil authorities to bring the situation under control. Through their timely intervention and concerted efforts, the fire was successfully contained and fully extinguished, thereby preventing its spread to adjacent buildings and minimizing potential damage to property and the surrounding area.
