As per the concept of the Commander of the Army, a programme to distribute school items to students affected by the recent Cyclone Ditwah was conducted. Accordingly, 425 school bags along with other school items were distributed to all students of Kaduwela Ranala Model Primary School, located within the 2 (V) SLLI AOR, which was affected by the flood.
The programme was carried out under the instructions of the Commander SFHQ (West), with the coordination of the General Officer Commanding l4 Infantry Division and under the supervisionof the Commander 144 Infantry Brigade. The school items were generously donated by Mr.Ranil Fernando and Mr. Shanaka Cooray. The event was presided over by the General OfficerCommanding 14 Infantry Division on 09 January 2026.
