SCHOOL CLEANING AND RENOVATION PROGRAM UNDER THE CLEAN SRI LANKA PROGRAM

Parallel to the "CLEAN SRI LANKA" program, as per the concept of the Commander of the Army, the cleaning and renovation program of selected with the low facilities schools was initiated in the selected Pamunugama Gonsalvez College - Ja-Ela in the Gampaha District as per the priority policy and the cleaning program was initiated and the inaugural ceremony was held in this school with great pomp on 10.03.2025 under the theme of "A Clean Educational Environment".

Accordingly this program was implemented under the instructions of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (West) Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, and under the guidance of Major General K J N M P K Navaratne RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division and under the supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier R R de S Dharmawickrema RSP and the Commanding Officer 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery Major N C Karunarathna RSP USP SLA. This program was conducted with the troops from 1 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery.

This event was attended by the Chaplain of the school, the Commander of Sector-15, Civil Affairs Officer - 141Inf Bde, Commanding Officer- 8SLLI, Principal and staff of the School, Government Officials, members from Past Pupils’ Association, parents and students.
