On February 27, 2025, troops from the 3(V) Gemunu Watch of the 613 Infantry Brigade, under the 61 Infantry Division of the Security Forces Headquarters (West), conducted a map reading training program for 30 scouting students of Rahula College, Matara.
This training session was organized at the request of the principal of Rahula College, aiming to enhance the students' navigation and map-reading skills. The program provided valuable hands-on experience, equipping the scouts with essential knowledge in topography, orientation, and practical field navigation techniques.
The initiative reflects the military's commitment to supporting youth education and skill development, fostering discipline and leadership qualities among students.
