THE COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) VISITS 572 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West), conducted an official visit to the 572 Infantry Brigade on 03rd March 2025.

The visit began with customary guard turnout and warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, along with the Commander of the 572 Infantry Brigade. After the military formalities, the Commander planted a sapling and posed for a group photograph. During the visit, the Commander 572 Infantry Brigade provided a detailed briefing on the brigade’s operational role, tasks, and the prevailing situation within its Area of Responsibility.

After the briefing, the Commander visited the brigade headquarters area and 18th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard as well as the Kuragala Temple also. Afterwards Major General U K D D P Udugama visited the newly proposed land area (Bambaragasthenna) for the possible relocation of the Brigade Headquarters. As the next destination of the visit the Commander visited the President House, Embilipitiya and the event concluded with the Air Mobile Brigade visit at Thunkama.

The General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff SFHQ (West), Brigadier Coord (Vol), SFHQ (West), the Commander 572 Infantry Brigade and Senior Officers participated in this visit.
