THE COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST), VISITS 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West), paid an official visit to 61 Infantry Division on 28th February 2025.

Major General U K D D P Udugama was honoured with a customary guard turnout extended with a warm welcome by Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc,General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division together with Brigadier W M L S Dayawansa, the Deputy General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division. The Commander Security Forces (West) addressed the troops, emphasizingthe current issues and social developments, focusing particularly on the role and tasks of the Army, maintenance of relationship with the Police and other supportive elements,current security engagements, maintaining the dignity of the Army and self discipline.

Symbolized the visit to the division, Major General U K D D P Udugama planted a sapling at the camp premises and posed for a group photograph. A omprehensive briefing on the division's role, tasks, and the current situation of the Area of Responsibility was conducted by General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division. Subsequently, Commander visited the 2 (V) Gemunu Watch and honored with a drive pass.

The General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, the Deputy General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier Admin & Quartering SFHQ (West), Brigade Commanders, Brigadier Coord (Vol), Staff Officers also participated in this visit.
