TROOPS BID FAREWELL TO GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

In honour of outgoing General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Major General K H M S Wickamaratne RSP, a formal farewell was organized at 61 Infantry Division Headquarters’, Boossa on 08 October 2024 at the relinquishment of his office.

Major General K H M S Wickamaratne RSP was honoured with a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance, by the troops of the 2(V) Gemunu Watch.

After the military formalities, All Ranks Tea for outgoing General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division was hosted by all Officers and Other Ranks , having posed for a group photograph. The ceremony concluded with a troops address where he made it a point to appreciate everyone’s contribution and teamwork during his tenure. Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the division attended the event.
