Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West), graced the housewarming ceremony as the Chief Guest on Monday (9th).
In line with the 75th anniversary of Sri Lanka Army, as a concept of Lieutenant General H. L. V. M. Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, under the guidance of Commander Security Forces (West), Major General Lanka Amarapala, and the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, and Commanding Officer 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, the troops of the 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery successfully completed the construction of a new house for Mrs. S. M. A. Ranjani and her family at No. 53/B/1, Meewitigammana, Urapola.
The project was made possible through financial and material support from the numerous local donors. The house was officially opened by the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General Lanka Amarapala at an auspicious time, accompanied by religious observances and handed over the keys to the beneficiary. Major General Lanka Amarapala extended his best wishes to beneficiary family for their future endeavors. This community project aims to enhance the living standards of beneficiary family.
The ceremony was attended by General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division Major General K. A. W. N. H. Bandaranayake USP, Commander 141 Infantry Brigade Brigadier R. R. de S. Dharmawickrema RSP, Commanding Officer 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery Lieutenant Colonel G. R. R. K. Jayarathne RSP psc IG, as well as several senior officers, government officials, donors, and local villagers.
