Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, made an official visit to 14 Infantry Division Headquarters and 142 Infantry Brigades on 27 August 2024. Brigadier BPGK Balasooriya RSP psc the Brigadier General Staff and Colonel SDNC De Silva the Brigadier Admin & Quartering accompanied the Commander during the visit.
On his arrival at the premises, the Commander was warmly welcomed by the, Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP, the General Officer commanding of 14 Infantry Division at the esteemed locations. Thereafter, comprehensive briefings on role and tasks and the present situation of the respective AOR was briefed by General Officer Commanding. Afterwards Commander signed visitors' book to mark his visit.
Next, the Commander Security Forces (West) visited 142 Infantry Brigade and Commander honored with a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Brigede. After the formalities Commander 142 Infantry Brigade done a comprehensive briefing and the visit was concluded with an All Ranks Tea.
The General Officer Commanding, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of Security Forces (West), several Staff Officers of 14 Infantry Division and 142 Infantry Brigede participated for this program.
