COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WEST) ADDRESS THE TROOPS OF 14 INFANTRY DIVISION AND 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

On 20 August 2024 Commander Security Force (West) Major General SWM Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc addressed the troops of 14 Infantry Division and 61 Infantry Division, under command to Security Force Headquarters. Brigadier General Staff Security Forces (West) Brigadier BPGK Balasooriya RSP psc accompanied the Commander during the visit.

Commander first visited the 61 Infantry Division and honoured with a guard turnout. The General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division Major General KHMS Wickramaratne RSP received him in a very warm manner after the military formalities. The Commander planted a sapling in the camp premises to mark the occasion. After that, the Commander addressed all ranks and posed for a group photo.

Secondly, the Commander visited 14 Infantry Division and the visiting Commander was honoured with a drive pass at the 2 Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Headquarters. The Commander warmly received by the General Officer Commanding Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP and other Senior Staff Officers of 14 Infantry Division. After the Commander addressed all the troops and posed for a group photo to mark the occasion, he was presented with a memento by the 14 General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division.
