On 24 July 2024, a comprehensive Leadership Training Program was successfully conducted for 148 students of Jinarathana Maha Vidyalaya in Galle. The event took place from 0830 hrs to 1230 hrs at the school premises and was part of the annual program.
The training program was organized by the 01 X 03 troops, under the expert guidance of the Commanding Officer of the 2(V) Gemunu Watch. This initiative was executed in accordance with the directives issued by the 61 Infantry Division and 613 Infantry Brigade. The aim of the program was to foster leadership skills and enhance the overall personal development of the participating students.
The session included various interactive modules designed to build leadership qualities, teamwork, and effective communication. The program also emphasized practical skills through exercises and activities that encouraged the students to take initiative, solve problems collaboratively, and develop strategic thinking.
The successful implementation of this training reflects the commitment of the 2(V) Gemunu Watch and the 61 Infantry Division to contribute positively to the development of the younger generation. The program was well-received by the students and staff of Jinarathana Maha Vidyalaya, marking a significant step towards nurturing future leaders.
