Under the direction and guidance of the General Officer Commanding the 14 Infantry Division, Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP, and the Deputy General Officer Commanding Major General KAU Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, the division recently conducted a 3-day training program for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) in the under-commanded Infantry Brigades and Battalions from 17 to 19 July 2024.
The training program was held at the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Regimental Centre auditorium. Participants engaged in several theoretical and practical exercises, including Leadership, Information Technology, Current Affairs, Logistics, Law, and Sri Lanka History. They also conducted group syndicate presentations to enhance their decision-making abilities.
On the second day, the Deputy General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Major General KAU Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, conducted a lecture on Social and Mess Etiquette, followed by a dinner session at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry regimental centre ORs mess. Finally, all participants visited the National Museum and Colombo Harbour to enrich their understanding of human achievements and economic and logistical interactions.
