On 25 May 2024, at 1700 hrs, the proactive efforts of the troops from the 6th Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, under the command of the 141 Infantry Brigade and the 14 Infantry Division, played a significant role in providing humanitarian assistance. Due to adverse weather conditions, they efficiently cleared a fallen tree that was obstructing traffic along the Dedicated Economic Center road in Veyangoda. Such initiatives are crucial for ensuring a smooth transportation flow and aiding the local community.
