TROOPS BID FAREWELL TO RETIRING GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING - 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

The 61 Infantry Division organized a formal farewell on 10 April 2024 at its Boossa premises to honor Major General RAJN Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, who is relinquishing his role as the General Officer Commanding. Troops from the 2(V) Gemunu Watch (GW) conducted a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour ceremony in the parade square. Officers, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and Other Ranks of the division attended the event. In his address to the troops, Major General RAJN Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc expressed gratitude for their support during his tenure. The ceremony concluded with an Al Rank tea at the division's headquarters.
