On the concept of Commander of the Army and the instructions of Commander Security Forces (West) Major General SWM Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and the guidance of General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP and the close supervision of Commander 141 Infantry Brigade Colonel R R de S Dharmawickrama RSP, with the troops assistance of Commanding Officer 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery Lt Col G R R K S Jayarathne RSP psc IG, organized a community project aiming to support low-income family in respective area of command by constructing new house for the family of Mrs S M A Ranjanie, resident of Meevitigammana area in Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat and the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for new house got underway on 28 March 2024.
The General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and ceremony was attended by the recipient's family, villagers, and members of 6 Sri Lanka Artillery demonstrating collective efforts toward assisting those in need.
