The week-long religion ceremony at the Jethavanarama Temple at Kalatuawawa, honoring the newly constructed Stupa and featuring the veneration of over 100 prominent monks from the Malwathu chapter of the Siyam Nikaya, commenced on 23 March 2024. This auspicious occasion, known as the Omniscient Relics treasure ceremony, received the blessings of the venerable Mahanayaka Thero.
On 29 March 2024, Major General SWM Fernando WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander of the Security Force Headquarters (West), participated in this significant event, symbolizing the unity between the military and spiritual realms. The Brigadier General Staff and Civil Affairs Officer of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) also participated for the ceremony.
