COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) PAID MAIDEN OFFICIAL VISIT TO 611 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Major General S W M FERNANDO WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West), made an official visit to 611 Infantry Brigade on 13 March 2024. Subsequently, the visiting Commander who was honoured with a Guard Turnout at the 611 Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Kegalle was warmly welcomed by the Commander of 611 Infantry Brigade. Thereby, comprehensive briefings on role and tasks and the present situation of the respective AOR were done by the Commander of 611 Infantry Brigade. Meanwhile, the Commander Security Forces (West) was invited to plant saplings in the respective camp premises to mark his arrival.

Addressing the troops during this visit, the West Commander emphasized the importance of the discipline of the soldiers, man management. As well as he appreciated the commitment of troops who rendered their potential service in the past and present scenarios. After that West Commander signed the visitors' book to mark this event. The General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Deputy General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Forces (West), several Staff Officers of 611 Infantry Brigade accompanied the West Commander during the visit.
