Under the guidance of West Commander Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and the supervision of Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier R D Sallay ndc, Focusing on enhancing the technical knowledge regarding vehicle maintenance on Army drivers who work within the Security Force Headquarters (West) area, a workshop took place at the Army Indoor Stadium - Panagoda on 22 February 2024.
The workshop included lectures on vehicle maintenance conducted by Warrant Officer ll Nandika AHSG and Warrant Officer ll Dahanaka DMS from the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps. Staff Sergeant Vahikaldeniya KP from the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Corps provided insights on identifying technical defects. Sergeant Herath CHMSK from Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police covered a lecture on road discipline. Demonstrations were also held on these subjects.
A total of 313, Officers and Soldiers from the Security Force Headquarters (West) area participated in the workshop.
