141 INFANTRY BRIGADE CONTINUES DISASTER RELIEF ACTION BY REMOVING TREES DANGER OF FALLING

Due to the torrential rain that fell with the activation of the South West Monsoon on 06.10.2023,upon the request made by the Divisional Secretariat Gampaha,141 Brigade troops rushed in the removal of several trees in danger of topping onto a house as the result of collapse of a mound behind the respective house located in 341B ,Horagolla ,Ganemulla of Horagolla North GN Dicision belongs to Gampaha DS under 141 infantry Brigade AOR .

Accordingly, with the aim of developing harmony between the army and the civilian population, on the direction of the Commander Security Forces(West) along with the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division, under the close supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade and the commanding officer of the Sector 15 ,the troops of sector 15 were able to immediately cut off dangerous trees that are about to fall on the respective house and clear the debris of the trees with a short span of time more than two hours.

This relief mission has been conducted with the participation of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade Brigadier L G B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP and the Commanding Officer of Sector 15 Lt Col LKAI Hallala RSP USP and the troops of sector 15 respectively.
