61 INFANTRY DIVISION COORDINATES DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL NEEDS AMONG REMOTE SCHOOLS IN GALLE

In parallel to World Children’s Day, 61 Infantry Division launched a school needs distribution programme among 68 needy students in Pathawelivitiya and Welivitiya remote schools in Galle area with the generous sponsorship of Mr.Vipul Wedi the financial officer of CEAT Company under the patronage of `Athahitha’ organization on 16 September 2023.

The program was successfully conducted under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division Major General R.A.J.N. Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc and thereby, 68 students were benefitted with pairs of shoes by Mr.Vipul Wedi upon the celebration of the 10th birthday of his beloved son.

Brigade Commander of 613 Infantry Brigade Colonel K.A.D.N.R. Kannangara RSP IG , Civil Affairs Officer of 61 Infantry Division Lieutenant Colonel J.E.L. De Soyza, Main organizer of “Athahitha” organization Mr. Prasath Lokubalasooriya, the chief financial officer of CEAT Company Mr. Vipul Wedi and his spouse and the members of the CEAT Company, Officers, Other Ranks and school staff participated at the event.
