Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (West) and the Commander 143 Infantry Brigade, a heartwarming initiative took place at the General Hospital Kurunegala on 17 June 2023 by providing refreshing King Coconut (Thambili) to the Inpatients, including cancer patients.
Army personnel of 1 Sri Lanka National Guard under 143 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West), in collaboration with the staff of the General Hospital Kurunegala, actively participated in this noble project, contributing 400 King Coconuts. Thereby, Army personnel and the hospital staff worked hand in hand to ensure that the patients' needs were met with utmost care and attention.
Further, this initiative also demonstrates the Army’s commitment to the well-being of the community.
