One Officer and ten Other Ranks of 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Force (West) assisted the National Dengue Prevention Campaign, which was conducted on 01 July 2023, on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (West).
Army personnel engaged in Dodangahahena and 505 – C Kotikawatta Grama Niladari Divisions joined hands with officials of Kolonnawa Development Committee, Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha, Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat, Kollonnawa Police Station and Kolonnawa Civil Security Department to control this deadly epidemic with the assistance of Medical Officers and Public Health Inspectors (PHI) in the area.
Commander 144 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry closely monitored the Army’s contribution to this invaluable community project.
