141 INFANTRY BRIGADE ORGANIZE A WORKSHOP ON PREVENTION OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

Road accidents have become a persistent issue within the Army, prompting the need for proactive measures to address this growing concern. In response to this alarming trend, the 141 Infantry Brigade under the 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) organized a one-day workshop on the topic of "Prevention of Traffic Accidents" on 28 June 2023, at Brigade Headquarters premises.

This workshop was delivered by Army personnel from the Military Police and aimed to shed light on key factors that contribute to road accidents and equip participants with strategies to ensure accident prevention.

Thereby, the workshop highlighted several important areas, including key factors contributing to Road Accidents, the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, etc.

In addition, during the workshop, participants were reminded about the significance of following speed limits, wearing seat belts, and avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving. They were also made aware of the consequences of reckless driving and the impact it can have on their own lives as well as the lives of others.

More than 160 Army personnel, including Officers from 141 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Central Arms and Ammunition Depot, Army Clothing Depot, Army Ordinance Industry, Quick Reaction Team, and Sector 15 participated in this workshop.

Further, this workshop has been organized on the directions of the Army Headquarters and with the guidelines of the Commander Security Forces (West), as well as under the close supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade.
