WEST TROOPS PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CONDUCT A LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME AT SIRI SUJATHA COLLEGE IN CHILAW

Troops of the 16 Battalion Gajaba Regiment under the 143 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) recently assisted in a two-day training workshop on 'Leadership' for the 23 prefects of Siri Sujatha College in Chilaw. The workshop was conducted on 20 and 21 May 2023, at the school premises, as per the request made by the school authorities.

Meanwhile, the workshop consisted of lecture sessions, group activities, discussions, and several entertainment events. It was conducted under the guidance of the Commander, 143 Infantry Brigade, and the Commanding Officer of 16 Battalion Gajaba Regiment, with the blessing of the Commander, Security Forces (West). The aim of the workshop was to cultivate and increase the leadership qualities of the prefects, enabling them to face challenges and develop their talents and skills with discipline.

Further, the troops of the 16 Battalion Gajaba Regiment played a vital role in the success of the workshop. During the programme, troops shared their knowledge and experiences with the prefects, helping them to understand the importance of leadership and how to develop it.

Moreover, the workshop was highly beneficial for the prefects of Siri Sujatha College. They learned new leadership skills and techniques that they can use in their daily lives. The workshop also helped them to understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and discipline in leadership, which they can use in their future endeavours.
