The state Vesak Festival 2023 will be held from 03 to 09 May 2023, at 'Sri Rathanasiri Nahimi Maha Piriwena', Kaballawa-Chillaw.
Accordingly, prior to the state Vesak Festival, the Commander, Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, paid an initial visit and inspected the Army's arrangements and contribution to the Vesak Festival as per the direction given by Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army.
During the initial visit, the West Commander passed down necessary instructions to the responsible officers regarding relevant duties and the assigned tasks that were given by the Commander of the Army in order to make the event successful.
Meanwhile, the West Commander met the chief inclubment of the Sri Rathanasiri Nahimi Maha Piriwena and discussed how to conduct the state vesak festival smoothly by exchanging his views.
Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Forces (West), Director Personnel Administration, Brigade Commader 143 Infantry Brigade, a few senior officers from Security Forces Headquarters (West) and several senior officers accompanied the West Commader during the visit.
