In collaboration with Link Natural Pvt Ltd as well as under the directions of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school in Panagoda managed to organize a mobile dental care clinic themed ‘Sudantha Samaga Viru Kekulu Muwahasareli’ at Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 28 April 2023.
The senior member in charge of the 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school Panagoda, Mrs. Himali Pussella, spouse of Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, the Commander Security Forces (West), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was opened after the lighting of the traditional oil lamp by the chief guest and other invitees.
At the commencement of the event, Mr. Nishantha Paranagama, the Director Sales of Link Natural Pvt Ltd conducted a short briefing regarding the importance of the day's event, while Dr. Sakunthala Gunawadana, a dental specialist, delivered a lecture on ‘oral health’ and also passed down necessary instructions to the parents of the kids before the dentists and medical staff began the clinic.
Thereafter, the chief guest and the invitees distributed gift packs among the kids, which were dispatched by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU). Through this programme, a total of 160 kids were examined for their oral health and dental care while getting treatments. At the same time, Army personnel from the Army Medical Corps as well as Security Forces Headquarters (West) also contributed their assistance to the success of this programme.
The event was attended by a few Senior Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (West), Staff of Panagoda 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school, parents and representatives of Link Natural Pvt Ltd.
