CHIEF OF STAFF CONDUCTS ADMIN INSPECTION AT SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WEST)

The administrative inspection of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) was conducted under the patronage of the Chief of Staff, Major General C. D. Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu at the Security Forces Headquarters Conference hall, Army cantonment, Panagoda on 24 March 2023.

It mainly focused on ensuring the Divisions and Brigades under the Security Forces (West) are functioning as per the stipulated procedures of the Sri Lanka Army and resolving the pending issues within respective Divisions and Brigades.

On the arrival, the Chief of Staff was warmly received by the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP and accorded a drive-pass at the entrance of the Headquarters premises. Following that, the Chief of Staff was invited to plant a sapling in the camp compound to commemorate his arrival to the camp premises.

Before starting formal proceedings, the Chief of Staff highlighted the importance of having an administrative inspection. Respective Directors and Staff Officers of different Directorates and Branches tabled their observations and laid down procedures, related to the resolution of such issues.

Culminating the day's event, the Chief of Staff marked a complimentary remark in the visitors's book and before departure from the camp premises he was awarded with a memento as a token of appreciation by the Commander Security Forces (West).

Divisional Commanders, Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and several senior Officers took part in the administrative inspection discussion.
