Army personnel of 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) have extended their assistance in clearing a large tree near the Divisional Secretariat - Kollonnawa, which had been fallen along the Kolonnawa–Rajagiriya road due to heavy rains, around the evening hours on 25 January 2023 disrupting the movement traffic on the Kolonnawa - Rajagiriya road.
Thereby, a contingent of Army personal from 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry rushed to the venue and contributed their comprehensive assistance in clearing the fallen tree from the road with the support of the Air Force, Police, Disaster Management Centre and residents in the area.
The Commander of 144 Infantry Brigade supervised the troops' commitment under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West).
