A total number of 200 saplings, including Jack fruits, Mee and Mahogany were distributed among the Regimental centres and the battalions, which are located within the Army cantonment – Panagoda, on 02 January 2023 at the Security Forces Headquarters premises.
This timely important programme was organized under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, in line with the ‘National Home Gardening Drive' initiated by the Ministry of Lands under the theme of ‘Let Us Start from Our Home Garden’. Further, saplings for the distribution programme have been provided by the Divisional Forest Office – Kalutara with the coordination of the Security Forces Headquarters (West).
This programme was conducted under the patronage of the Commander Security Forces (West) with the participation of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks who are serving at the Security Forces Headquarters (West).
