In conjunction with the National Safety Day 2022, an interfaith programme of merit-making for those who died and missing from the Tsunami disaster on 26 December 2004 and all other calamities was held on 26 December 2022 at the Crow Island Children's Park in Colombo under the patronage of the District Secretariat of Colombo.
This programme was organized by the District Disaster Management Coordinating Unit - Colombo.
Accordingly, As per the direction given by the Commander Security Forces (West), Army personnel belonging to 7 Battalion Gemunu Watch of 142 Infantry Brigade participated in this noble event.
