LECTURES ON ‘POWERS VESTED IN MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES UNDER VARIOUS LEGAL STATUSES, CIVIL LAW AND CRIMINAL LAW’ HELD FOR 141 INFANTRY BRIGADE TROOPS

A lecture session on the topics of ‘Powers Vested in Members of the Armed Forces under Various Legal Statuses, Civil Law and Criminal Law’ was conducted at 141 Infantry Brigade Headquarters premises on 02nd December 2022 for the further knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks serving in the 141 Infantry Brigade AOR.

The lectures were jointly delivered by Lieutenant Colonel A M T A B Arampath, the legal officer of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Chief Inspector of Nittabuwa Police Station H.P. Sumit Chandana respectively.

Apart from the lectures, the participants were also given an opportunity to clarify their doubts by having a Q & A session.

Those lecture sessions were organized under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP and close supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier L G B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP.

A total number of 12 officers including Commanding Officers of under-command Battalions, sector commanders and 150 Other Ranks of 141 Infantry Brigade AOR participated in this timely important lecture.
