Under the supervision of Commander 144 Infantry Brigade Brigadier K M V Kodituwakku, Army personnel of the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard, under the 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West), launched a blood donation project at Abinawaramaya temple, Akuregoda on 03 November 2022 in line with the 32 battalion anniversary of the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard.
All the necessities for this noble event have been coordinated by Army personnel of the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard with the collaboration of the Central Blood Bank- Narahenpita.
Around 75 Army personnel from 144 Infantry Brigade and 10 Sri Lanka National Guard voluntarily donated their blood to the Central Blood Bank - Narahenpita with great enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Commander 144 Infantry Brigade, the Civil Affairs Officer of 144 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer 10 Sri Lanka National Guard were also presented at the location during the programme.
