WEST TROOPS CONTINUE THEIR FLOOD-RELIEF ROLES

Due to adverse weather condition prevailing in the Island, Mattakkuliya 259 GN Division was flooded on 06 September 2022.

Consequently, as per the directions given by the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP and under the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, the troops of 7 Battalion the Gamunu Watch under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) donated one hundred lunch parcels for the flood affected peoples who are living in the Mattakkuliya 259 GN Division.

In the meantime, the troops also rescued stranded people affected by the loss of property in the area.
