WEST TROOPS WITH SPONSOR’S SUPPORT GIVE AWAY RATION PACKS TO DESERVING FAMILIES IN KEGALLE DISTRICT

Deserving families residing in Bulathkohupitiya Undugoda, Hettimulla, Kotiyakumbura, Galigamuwa, Arandara areas in Kegalle district were donated dry ration packs at the auditorium of the main post office - Kegalle on 31 August 2022 with the sponsorship, provided by Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation (Sri Lanka) and the Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore).

Meanwhile, the donation programme was coordinated through the Security Forces Headquarters (West) and In line with all the necessities had been properly arranged at the location by the Army personnel of 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the close supervision of the Commander 611 Infantry Brigade.

The distribution event was conducted under the patronage of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP and Shasanarakshaka Mandalaya – Kegalle and 300 dry ration packs each worth of Rs.1500.00 were distributed among the beneficiaries. Further, the selection of deserving families was coordinated by the respective Grama Seva officials and District Secretariat officials in collaboration with 611 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West).

Commander 611 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier L A J L B Udowita RWP RSP, District Secretary and Divisional secretariat - Kegalle , Senior Superintendent of Kegalle Police, various denominational religious leaders, several senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks associated with this charitable event.
