The Commander Security Forces (West) paid a field visit to witness the locations that had been identified for the proposed deployment of the Security Forces (West) AOR in Katunayake, Kimbulapitiya, Minuwangoda, Diyulapitiye, Veyanoda and Nittambuwa areas on 23 August 2022.
Along the way, the commander extensively studied and discussed with the relevant senior officers who participated at the visit regarding the possibility of establishing camps at these proposed locations and necessary measures to be taken in the future to make this a reality.
Meanwhile, the West Commander also visited the 14 Battery of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery which is located at Veyangoda. Thereby, the Commander inspected several key places, surrounding of camp premises and the welfare of the soldiers.
General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Brigadier Admin and Quartering Security Forces (West), Commander 141 Infantry Brigade and Several senior Officers accompanied the West Commander during the days’ visit.
