WEST TROOPS ORGANIZED ANOTHER CHARITY PROGRAMME

Together with the troops of 144 Infantry Brigade and 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) coordinated another humanitarian event of providing King Coconut water (Thambili) for the cancer patients who are under treatment at Apeksha Hospital on 22 August 2022.

The programme was successfully conducted, under the patronage of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Brigadier J M R N K Jayamanna RWP and necessary arrangements for the programme have been coordinated by the Army personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade and 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the guidance of Commander 144 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K M V Kodituwakku. Thereby, 2000 King Coconuts have been donated with the contribution of donors in the area.

Commander 144 Infantry Brigade, Army personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade and 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry and Director with Administrative Authorities of the Apeksha Hospital participated in this noble task.
