Army personnel of Vocational Trade School, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps – Kuttigala located in 611 Infantry Brigade AOR of Security Forces (West), Thursday evening (11) rushed to prevent a fast-spreading fire irrupted in approximately 20 small shops near Embilipitiya main bus stand due to electrical leakage.
Three Officers and 25 Other Ranks of Vocational Trade School, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps together with the Police personnel – Embilipitiya Police station and fire Brigade of Sewanagala rushed to the venue in order to bring the situation under control with the support of some volunteers in the area.
Meanwhile, the Army's water bowsers also have deployed for assist to the fire Brigade, in order to extinguish the fire.
