With the coordination of Dilru Saha Kalana Mithuru Organization, 12 Field Engineer Regiment under 612 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) organized another charity programme of donating few packs of dry ration to low-income families living in Pelawatta and Pitigala areas on 30 July 2022 at the Headquarters of 12 Field Engineer Regiment.
Funds for this programme were provided by Dilru Saha Kalana Mithuru Organization and this noble programme was directed by the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Major General W R M M Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu and the Commander of 612 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier L G B Kariyawasam closely supervised the distribution of those ration packs. Further, the value of a pack was Rs. 5000.00 and thereby, the worth of Rs. 2,50,000.00 dry ration packs were distributed.
The Commander of 612 Infantry Brigade graced the distribution occasion as the chief guest and the President of Dilru saha Kalana Mithuru Organization Mrs. Wasana Dilrukshi Wijesiriwardana Samarasinghe, Officers with Other Ranks of 12 Field Engineer Regiment also participated in the ceremony.
