100 packs of dry ration were distributed among low - income families who are living in Baddegama, Galle under 61 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility of Security Forces (West) on 03 July 2022 at Dutugemunu Rajamaha Viharaya in Baddegama.
The programme was organized according to the request of Ven Sri Sumana Thero, Incumbent of the Dutugemunu Rajamaha Viharaya. Accordingly, this charity event has been coordinated by the Chief of Defense Staff, General L H S C Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil and financial sponsorship has been provided by Mr. Jagoda who resides in the United State of America.
Subsequently, the necessary arrangements for the event have been organized by Army personnel of 613 Infantry Brigade under close supervision of Commander 613 Infantry Brigade, Colonel K V I L Jayaweera USP. Further, this distribution programme was launched under the patronage of Commander 613 Infantry Brigade with the participation of several senior officers.
