In bringing relief for 1500 low income families in Gampaha District, Talagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation and Tan Nagak & Kee Meng Leng Foundation Limited (Singapore) Donated dry ration packs consisted with Rice, Dhal, Soya meat, salt , etc , together with Army personnel belongs to 141 Infantry Brigade under Security Forces Headquarters (West) on 27 June 2022.
The value of a pack was Rs. 1500.00 and thereby, the worth of Rs. 2,250,000.00 dry ration packs were distributed. Moreover, the distribution took placed at four locations in Weliweriya, Delgoda, Nittambuwa and Kandalama in the Gampaha District.
Further, the financial contribution of this noble task was made by Talagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation and Tan Nagak & Kee Meng Leng Foundation Limited (Singapore) and distribution arrangements were organized by Army personnel of 141 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) under the close supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP. The selection of deserving families was coordinated by the respective Grama Seva officials and Divisional Secretariat officials in collaboration with 141 Infantry Brigade.
The distribution event was led under the patronage of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade and Ven Talagala Sumanaratana Nayake Thero of Talagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation. Commanding Officers, Sector Commanders, a few Staff Officers and Other Ranks under 141 Infantry Brigade, Divisional Secretary of Biyadama Divisional Secretariat and Deputy Inspector General of the Western Province also participated at the distribution.
