The Commander Security Force (West) and the Overall Operation Commander (OOC) for the Western Province and Puttalam District, Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP presided a Security and operations coordination conference to discuss some salient points pertaining to the security of Western Province in liaison with the Sri Lanka Police and Special Task Force with the participation of General Officer Commandings and Brigade Commanders at the Security Force Headquarters (West) on 22th June 2022.
During the conference, discussed many significant aspects such as briefing on boundaries and troops deployment under Security Forces (West) Area of Responsibility, Present intelligence situation, Deployment of military and Police for contingencies, Legal provisions related to emergency, Curfew and maintaining essential services, Special projects organized by Military and Police for providing assistance for civilians and any other matters besides the briefing of the respective DIG’s who represented at the conference.
Further, several Staff Officers of Security Force Headquarters (West) also participated at the conference.
