As per the directions given by the Office of Chief of Defence Staff and the Directorate of Operations, another special dengue prevention programme was assisted by the troops of 14 and 61 Infantry Divisions under Security Forces (West) joined hands together with the Public Health Inspectors (PHI) and the government officials from 15 to 21 June 2022.
Throughout this programme, it will be covering Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts including sixteen Offices of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) and inspecting residences, public places and workplaces in the area. Thereby, the general public will be advised on ‘what precautions can be taken to prevent dengue in the affected areas’ by the government officials and military personnel.
For the first day, more than 100 Army personnel have actively participated in this timely important programme.
