10 Sri Lanka National Guard under 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Force (West) launched a Blood Donation Campaign, as per the directions promulgated by the Commander 144 Infantry Brigade Brigadier K M V Kodituwakku with the close supervision of Commanding Officer of 10 Sri Lanka National Guard Major G S S Galagedara in order to donate blood for the Blood Transfusion Centre, Narahenpita.
This programme has been successfully held from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs on 03 June 2022 at the Abinawaramaya temple Akuregoda. All the Officers and Other Ranks of 144 Infantry Brigade and the general public showed great enthusiasm in donating blood for this noble task. There were 120 blood donors including the general public. In addition to that, all the facilities for civilians were properly arranged at the Blood Donation campaign with the direct supervision of the Commanding Officer of 10 Sri Lanka National Guard including refreshments.
During the campaign, the Commander of 144 Infantry Brigade has visited to the location and witnessed that the programme was in operation which enthusiastically. Further, Medical staff of the Blood Transfusion Centre, Narahenpita also involved in this programme.
