COMMANDER 612 INFANTRY BRIGADE MAKES HIS MAIDEN OFFICIAL VISIT TO 12 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

The newly appointed Commander of 612 Infantry Brigade Brigadier L G B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP made his maiden official visit to the 12 Field Engineer Regiment after assuming office on 19 February 2022.

The Commander of 612 Infantry Brigade was warmly welcomed by the Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the 12 Field Engineer Regiment. The day’s event was included with unit briefing, troop address and a camp visit. During the troops address, the Commander of 612 Infantry Brigade highlighted the importance of being a disciplined soldier in the Army and moreover, he stressed officers and soldiers to maintain a work-life balance being a professional soldier.

As per the day's visit, finally, the Brigade Commander inspected the proposed land for the 612 Infantry Brigade and 12 Field Engineer Regiment at Dodangoda. This official visit was conducted in compliance with the COVID - 19 health guidelines whilst attending a minimum number of troops.
